Please help us give a big warm welcome to Brenda Whiteside this week. Brenda is here to share her romantic suspense series, Love and Murder. Welcome, Brenda! We are all so excited to hear more about your Love and Murder Series.

Guest Post by Brenda Whiteside:

In the first few chapters of my life, I spent my time sculpting in clay and creating watercolor landscapes. I’d considered going into commercial art, but FDW came home on leave, we married, and he whisked me away to Germany before I got an art degree. When we returned stateside, I took a creative writing course and immediately got hooked.

I set my goal to write people stories…or so I called them. I loved reading books that were character driven. I started with short stories. These were more vignettes, glimpses into everyday life. I look back on those days as practice times for honing my character creating. When I graduated into novel writing, my first two books were based on family members. I didn’t set out to write a love story, but my mom’s tales of the 1940s naturally led to my dad and love. Post-War Dreams is my personal book of my heart.

Then there’s my sister who’s dated more men than any one woman has a right to date. She’s had a few harrowing experiences and lots of laughs too. I used some of her real-life adventures to write Sleeping with the Lights On. There is mild suspense and a surprise ending because as I wrote, romance just wasn’t enough. And I think the fun I had writing the suspense led me on my current path.

My five-book series, Love and Murder, is suspenseful and romantic. My heroes and heroines find secrets, lies, threats, and danger while negotiating the difficulties of finding meaningful romance. The first four books of the series are available on audio as well as paperback and eBook. Book five will be out in audio before the end of summer.

About the Author:

I’m currently writing another romantic suspense series. The series is set in present-day Joshua, Arizona, an 1800s mining town, turned ghost town, turned hippie haven, and now a tourist town, hanging on the side of Spirit Mountain. I’m really excited about this series because it encompasses several eras. And if you’re familiar with Arizona, Joshua just might resemble Jerome, Arizona.

Brenda Whiteside is the author of suspenseful, action-adventure romance. Mostly. After living in six states and two countries—so far—she and her husband have decided they are gypsies at heart, splitting their time between Northern Arizona and the RV life. They share their home with a rescue dog named Amigo. While FDW is fishing, Brenda writes stories of discovery and love entangled with suspense.
