WHAT TO READ NEXT :  The Red Diary by Toni Blake

Toni Blake is a RITA™-nominated author of more than twenty contemporary romance novels. Her books have received the National Readers Choice Award and Bookseller’s Best Award, and she ranks in the top 100 contemporary romance authors on Amazon. So when she revisited her popular Red Diary and rereleased it I figured it was time to give it a chance. And when It became a Bookbub selection this week, I doubled down and started reading it.

The premise is obvious, but no less fun. Good girl on the outside, bad girl on the inside, Lauren records all her sexual fantasies in a diary no one knows exists. Until, of course, hot, handsome Nick finds it, reads it and learns the longings Lauren is hiding. You know what comes next but the road to that happy ever after is a good read, steamy, well-written and hard to put down.

GEM OF THE WEEK –  HOT BREAD KITCHEN

I started a new diet this week, again. So far I have lost 4 pounds, . If this keeps up, sometime soon you may see this new diet as my gem of the week. But I digress.

Whenever I diet I am obsessed with food, consumed by thinking of food, planning meals, making grocery lists, figuring out meal plans. So it is no surprise that my gem this week is all about food. Bread to be precise, yummy, fresh bread that supports women in need of work.

Meet Hot Bread Kitchen

Since 2008, Hot Bread Kitchen has provided pathways to prosperity for women who face economic insecurity, culinary entrepreneurs, and their East Harlem community. In that time, Hot Bread Kitchen has trained over 400 women for meaningful careers and incubated 240 small businesses.

Putting their money where their mouths were, Hot Break Kitchen located in La Marqueta, a historic East Harlem, NY market that was once the commercial heart of El Barrio, investing in a declining community to help revive it. Hot Bread Kitchen uses sales of their line of deliciously diverse breads to feed their mission.

Breads are shipped every Wednesday and include yummy challahs, chocolate babkas, Moroccan M’smen and more.  Not sure how to choose?

Neither could I, so I planned a cheating day or two and put bread on the menu.
