MY TOP TEN TAKEAWAY’s FROM “YOUR FIRST 10K READERS” – Part 2

In my last blog post, I shared with you the successes I was having moving toward my professional goals for 2019 thanks to “Your First 10,000 Readers”, a wonderful course from Nick Stephenson. Although I have been writing and publishing books for more than three years, revisiting this course now has given me more than a dozen actions to execute immediately to increase my readership and sales.

The course is comprehensive – 62 videos plus bonus content including swipe files and interviews with successful, bestselling authors. It cuts to the chase, offering actionable activities at minimum expense. Nick Stephenson tells you repeatedly that he is simply sharing the techniques and procedures he personally followed to become a bestselling author earning over seven figures.

I appreciate Nick’s no-nonsense approach, and his respect for my limited budget. If there is a free way to do things as well as a paid way, he shares both. If he suggests advertising, he tells you how to minimize the expense. Even better, he warns you not to waste your money until all the other pieces are in place to make your advertising effective.

To see the first five lessons I took away from completing “Your First 10,000 Readers, see my prior blog post. And then let’s move on to takeaway items six through ten.

More Valuable Lessons from Your First 10,000 Readers

I am unashamably a fan of this course and not afraid to say so. Just implementing the actions outlined in module one increased my royalties. Results affect me. Good results make me a fan. Here are five more reasons why:

  1. Respect for my time and my money.Nick starts at the very beginning of your book marketing journey, and while his lessons were valuable to me after 3 years of flailing as a marketer, he assumes you begin as a beginner too. That means he makes no assumptions about you having royalties coming in to boost your efforts. Or even that you are a full-time author. Rather, he assumes that money is tight and that no one would buy a course from someone who wastes their time. I appreciate that.
  2. The core training in this course is just the beginning. Have I mentioned that this class contains 62 videos? Less than half of these make up the core training modules, the rest are the incredibly valuable bonus content – interviews, FAQs and deep dives that take your core training to the next level. This stuff is amazing.
  3. You learn about buying behavior and how to promote accordingly. In module four, “Engaging Your Audience” video one titled “Why Readers Don’t Buy” might be worth the entire class price. Seriously. Understanding the four reasons a potential reader isn’t buying your book is critical. Learning how to overcome their objections– with swipe files of the precise content to use – is critical for authors who want to sell more books. I believe this is a huge part of Nick’s success. As one of his students said:“ I launched…an erotic romance in June 2015 and it languished. At best, 119 sales outright in one month…[click_to_tweet tweet=”At some point I followed Nick’s course…It’s worked like a treat, enabling me to…live off the royalties. http://bit.ly/2CvAr2Y #writerslife #amwriting” quote=”At some point I followed Nick’s course…It’s worked like a treat, enabling me to…live off the royalties.”] Quite a testimonial. Need I say more?
  4. Detailed education on Facebook advertising. The longest module in the core training of Your First 10,000 Readers is on using and creating Facebook ads. Nick shows you step-by-step how to create and test ads, and when they should and should not be used. This is often a course in and of itself, and often not done this well.
  5. Incredible swipe files. I have mentioned these already, but I want to mention them again. From welcome sequences to promotion copy, Nick provides the exact words he has tested and succeeded by using. “Steal them” he encourages, if you would rather not modify them. Remember, from the beginning Nick tells you this course is the step by step actions he personally took in order to become a bestselling author. The emails and welcome sequences he fine tuned are part of the journey he is sharing. Again, the price of the course would be worth it for these alone.

What are you going to Do Now?

The ball is in your court. I have given you 10 reasons that I found this course one of the best in the business. It is a roadmap for success, like having your own personal business coach, marketing coach, copy writer and more for less than $100/month. The only thing Nick doesn’t do is take the course for you. I know, because I wasted months after I bought the course before I started following his advice and I am starting to see the results he promised.

Gem of the Week

Don’t just take it from me. Nick shares a number of his secrets in a three part video series that is completely free. Take this taste of his training content and style and see if it is a good fit for you. Register for the free video training here.

What to Read Next

http://affiliates.yourfirst10kreaders.com/a/ebook/singerafNot into video training? Nick’s ebook “Reader Magnets” contains the exact audience-building strategy that he used to add tens of thousands of targeted readers to his mailing list and to become an Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and iBooks bestseller. These are the techniques he used to grow from obscurity in 2012 to a seven-figure income in the last 12 months.

The best part – once it’s all set up (and the ebook will show you how to do this) this system will keep on working in the background. Leaving you free to focus on other things.

Since I know Nick, I scored you a free copy of the latest version – go pick it up for free here.

I can’t wait to hear what you think of the course or the book. Come back and share your thoughts, and results, in the comments below.
