Q&A with Lil DeVille:
Q: Where is your favorite place to write?
A: I write in my living room on an old dilapidated couch in front of my five-year-old computer. I can look out the window and see trees and the back half of the general store.
Q: What inspires you as an author?
A: A fun and sometimes outrageous idea. The stories that Lil writes are all “what if” stories with no limit on the sorts of sexy things that can happen between people, shape-shifting aliens, and legendary beings such as elves or vampires.
Q: Why do you write romance and why your genre of romance?
A: I don’t really think of myself as writing romance. I write stories that have romance in them. The Carnal Invasion stories are erotic science fiction.
Q: What are you working on next and when can we expect to see it?
A: I wrote many Carnal Invasion tales during 2018 and early 2019, and I got burned out. At this point I am primarily working on a non-erotica project that will be published under the Team Netherworld name. I hope to have this project finished by the end of the year. I am intending to try writing another Carnal Invasion book for NaNoWriMo. I started one last year but the project never got off the ground.
Q: What would you do if you couldn’t write?
A: Loom knit or make candy and treats.
Q: How do you spend your free time?
A: What is this “free time” you speak of?
Q: Do you listen to music when you write? What is your go-to playlist and why?
A: I have ADHD, so I listen to instrumental music. Music with lyrics tends to distract me from my writing.
Q: How do you, your friends and your fans encourage you when you need a pick-me-up?
A: I have a couple of friends that encourage me to keep going. I tend to beat myself up rather than pick myself up. I try not to think too much about whether I have fans or not and write the stories the way they want to be written.

“Well, um, yeah, okay, sure. I just need to finish putting everything away. Is that okay?”
“Companion, I believe the Terran would feel more comfortable if we were to assume the appearance of one of his kind,” one of the aliens suggested.
“Yes, I believe you are correct, Companion. One moment, Terran. We are retrieving data from your mind to create a form that you will find pleasing.”
Excerpt Gettin’ Down on the Farm:
Frank Hamilton had no idea how a life could change in the blink of an eye, until the night he met Jenny in the parking lot at Tasker’s Roadhouse. Jenny was every red-blooded cowboy’s dream with her big blonde hair, peaches-and-cream complexion, and her long and slim but curvaceous body. The lonely twenty-one-year-old rodeo rider quickly fell under the spell of the lavender-eyed beauty.

“I think it is a very nice name,” Mistress Nyx said. “Mine is the name of the Greek goddess of night and desire.”
“Yes, yes, very fitting, I think, with your lovely dark hair and your pretty face pale like the moon,” He said with a slight bow and a bit of a nervous laugh. Mistress Nyx took his hand.
“Do not be nervous, He. I know you think you are not a very handsome man. I would be inclined to disagree. You have a sweet demeanor and a sweet face to match.”
