Coming Soon: A New Romance Series

 Meet the B&B Billionaires

This April, I will introduce a new romance series in a collection titled The Billionaire’s Club. I was already writing about men with too much money so it was a not a stretch for me to create new content for this collection. What was difficult was letting go of my Beguiling Bachelor Series characters, so watch for them to come and go in this new series. Tell me your favorites in the comments so I am sure to include them.

Why Bed and Breakfasts?

Many of you know from reading this blog that I sometimes fill in for the innkeepers at a pair of luxurious B&B’s right down the street from me. They are romantic locations on so many levels – the settings of course, with couches in front of the fireplace, gorgeous landscaped patios perfect for a romantic breakfast for two, beds covered in expensive soft linens or baths designed for two to share comfortably.

But they are primarily romantic places because many guests come there for a romantic getaway, a honeymoon or even a wedding. The places are permeated with the love guests share while they are there.

So it seemed like a perfect setting for my new novel, Desire & Dessert. This will be the first of at least three novels set at different B&B locations, primarily based on real places. While I hope you will find them original, the idea of writing a romance at a B&B location certainly is not. Below are some other B&B based books you might want to check out while you are waiting for Desire & Dessert.

Welcome to my Inspiration – Stone Porch by the Lake

Stone Porch by the Lake

While I usually use actual locations in my novels, I did end up changing the name of the bed and breakfast in my novel to Lakeside Lodge, just to be safe (www.madisonmichael.net/real-settings). I would have loved to write a story about the actual innkeepers, Lisa and Sharon, who are both fun, single women, but they did not fit the plot for Desire & Dessert. Once they were out of the book, it only seemed fair to change the B&B’s title as well. But I did rely on the inn heavily for inspiration, for example in a description of our couple following one another up a winding staircase.

He climbed the spiraling staircase ahead of her, the space tight, the clean scent of him wafting to her nose. His butt was tight, his thighs well muscled and in the close quarters it took all she had to keep her hands off of him. When he showed her to a lovely and restful room decorated in whites she immediately imagined sharing the space with him. Him without his clothes. Yum, she loved the image.

What to Read Next – Seven B&B Based Novels

The Hideaway by Lauren K. Denton has been on the bestseller list for months. This is the story of a B&B left to our protagonist with the requirement that she stay in this small southern town and rehab the place. Her discoveries on this rebuilding journey make this a must read.

Wildflower B&B Romance Series – This four book series by Kimberly Rose Johnson covers summer to winter romances in Island Refuge, Island Dreams, Island Christmas and Island Hope. With dozens of 5-star reviews and available on Kindle Unlimited, this is a great option while you wait for my B&B series to release.

Tantalizing Temptations: A Bed & Breakfast Romance set in England (Inn Love Book 1) Kindle Edition – This is a new book from author Devika Fernando, and looks to be the first of a new series as well.

Breakfast in Bed and Send Me No Flowers – You have to read these books, written in 1999, in paperback. They are works by bestselling author Sandra Brown, who wrote romance novels long before she wrote the numerous thrillers that consistently top the bestseller charts today.
